Stylist
Stylist magazine handed Jules Le Barazer a brief to create two illustrations themed around changing representations of the Devil over the centuries. From the time of the renaissance, Faust began to be portrayed – notably in a play by Goethe - in the fashionable dress of the time (stockings, puffy short trousers, moustache). Ever since then, the Devil has been red, and wearing stockings. Jules here reiterates his story-telling skill, with a magnificent illustration of the Devil at the tailor’s shop.

He continues to intrigue with his surrealist collages, mixing different temporalities along with elements a long way from the everyday. Queer Icons
Antoine Corbineau is behind the lively illustrations to this superb book celebrating a host of LGBTQ figures. These icons of the queer community have, collectively, defended civic rights and fought, throughout history, against all forms of discrimination. Featured among these pioneers are Josephine Baker, Laverne Cox, Ellen DeGeneres, Keith Haring, Neil Patrick Harris, Harvey Milk, Frank Ocean and Ruby Rose: just as many icons of pop culture as there are militants and revolutionaries who fought – sometimes to their death – for their right to be what they want, and to love who they want.

Bols
More than 440 years ago, the Bols family opened a small distillery in Amsterdam, nestled just behind Dam square. There they elaborated a fresh new gin recipe with a subtler flavor; making its way across the Atlantic to the United States, this new gin played a major role in the cocktail revolution. The brand has since become an institution, and the Bols distillery has reopened in its birthplace in the center of Amsterdam. To mark the occasion, the distillery asked Cruschiform to create a series of large-scale illustrations to decorate the windows. The result is these four richly-detailed graphic compositions, which recount in engaging fashion the history of Bols and the world of mixology. The designs can be seen at number 14, Paulus Potterstraat, in Amsterdam.
